PROJECT SUMMARY

I worked on the question: “How can I make a parachute that falls slowly and safely?” I wanted to see which design would make the parachute stay in the air the longest

WHY?

I did this project to learn how parachutes work and how their design affects how fast they fall

HOW?

First, I chose different materials like newspaper and a plastic cup. Then I tested them by dropping each one from the same height

WHAT?

I found out that the parachute made that had a big newspaper acting as the pharacute worked very well.

SO WHAT?

My results show that parachute size and material really affect how it falls.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Next time I could also add weight to the parachute and see how it affects the fall.

This project looks like a fun one! Good job testing out more than one type of material for your parachute. It is interesting to see what works best. Were suprised that the newspaper worked better than the cup? Well done!
