We worked on the problematic that a lot of teenagers struggle with, and that is mental health, we believe that this problem is huge nowadays and that the people that struggle with this Our app provides a safe space to express their feelings freely, helping them cope without fear of being judged.
We were trying to fix the problem that millions of teenagers go through of not knowing to who or where to express their feelings, emotions and problems. We created this app so that teenagers and even adults have a safe space to express what's going on in their life and how they feel about it.
To create this project we first brainstormed our ideas to choose the name, the app aesthetic, what functions the app would have, etc. Then we did our first prototype on Figma, and a year later we changed our brands name to another (Wiibo) and we developed another prototype then updated and rebuilt it in Adalo after refining the brand and user interface.
While working on this project and researching about this topic, we found out that on average 22 percent of high-schoolers and middle-schoolers seriously think about the option of commiting suicide, often due for mental health issues and not being heard while they asked for help.
We received positive feedback after user testing. Most users said it was a good idea with great potential, even though it still needs some improvement. This confirmed that our concept is both relevant and functional.
We would do our project differently in the sense of we would want to be more prepared and organized, definitely something we will do in our next project. To improve our project, we would focus on organizing our development process better and defining clear roles within the team. We would also explore adding more interactive features to the app, such as anonymous chat or mood tracking. Next time, we would conduct more user testing to gather feedback earlier in the process.
We took this data from websites like ''John Hopkins Medicine'' and ''Raising Children Network''
This project certainly has great potential because it addresses very important topics for students' health. Continue researching similar applications and they could go far! And above all, it will help many people.
