The completed project is a final visual product of the Cartesian plane made of wood; it is an educational tool that promotes interactive and enhanced learning.
The objective of this project was to achieve a simple, useful and easy to use tool for a graphic demonstration of the different functions and their positioning in the Cartesian plane. With this tool, teachers could better demonstrate the functions through the Cartesian plane without having to draw it over and over again.
First of all, it started as an idea for an educational project that could be devised, then it occurred to me to do a project that has to do with mathematics, I focused on the
""functions"" and nothing more than the Cartesian plane. I started with the sketches and measurements until I reached a final measurement that is ideal, then I had to choose the woods that can adapt to these ideas; Combine both laser cutting and manual cutting, to finish the design of the physical plan at the end of it all.
It was a very complete project, it ended up being a tool that provides effective graphics of any function that you want to perform. It also complements with more attachable points in case there is a need to have a spare.
After all, it was a long process, but among all the information investigated, it was an opportunity to learn more about how a Cartesian plane works as well as the different functions that can be performed. Also creating products like this makes mathematical topics that may be complex much easier to understand, making an experience much more fun with respect to learning.
To further enrich our learning about mathematics we can inquire more about it, also carry out more fun dynamics that include a didactic interaction.
I am very grateful to my math teacher Guillermo Jitsuo because he was the one who helped me advance in this area that was very difficult for me, thanks to him I was able to keep up with the new teachings; This project is a sincere figure of appreciation and thanks for your patience. I also thank my Industrial Arts teacher Celeste Torres, who was the first guide in the entire fabrication of the project.
You've created a very useful educational tool from scratch! This turned out great. I like the simplicity of the design, but at the same time, I think you could add a creative component to it to make it stand out even more, or even different features that make learning more fun. Nevertheless, this is a functional design, a great idea and shows a great set of skills!
