"The Shoebox Shoe Rack" is a project that combines crafts with the reuse of materials we have on hand—in this case, shoeboxes themselves. The idea was to create a shoe rack made from shoeboxes with the goal of keeping our footwear organized at home.
Among the proposed ideas, this project was selected because it generated a lot of excitement about how it would turn out.
First, we chose two or three shoeboxes that we had at home and also gathered materials to decorate the shoe rack. Then, we followed the step-by-step instructions given by the Makers teachers until we completed the activity.
The project turned out very well; the different boxes were perfectly assembled, and each person added a creative touch to decorate their shoe rack.
The project shows how simple, everyday materials can be transformed into practical and creative solutions for organizing personal spaces.
Organizers of two or three levels could be made using shirt boxes.
Project carried out under the supervision of Prof. José Ocampos and Prof. Leticia Gonzalez.
Well done on your shoe rack project! You had a clever idea to reuse boxes to solve a real problem at home. Your design shows creativity and good thinking—you found a way to keep things organized while helping the environment by reusing materials. Great job explaining how it works and how it can help others. Keep thinking of ways to make your design stronger or add more spaces for different types of shoes. You’re becoming a real problem-solver!
