I worked on the problem of making model rocketry accessible to beginners in Paraguay, where reliable information is very hard to find online. I created a website called "Rocketry" that serves as an introduction to the hobby, covering types of rockets, motors, and safety guidelines.
When I started getting into rocketry, I found it nearly impossible to find trustworthy information, especially in Spanish. There are only about 2 or 3 people in all of Paraguay who build and design rockets. I wanted to create a resource that helps newcomers avoid common mistakes and get a solid introduction to the hobby.
I started with the basic HTML structure using tags like div, p, h1, and h2. Then I styled the page with CSS, adding colors and fonts. Finally, I added interactivity with JavaScript. I developed everything in Visual Studio Code and published the site using Netlify.
I discovered that building a multi-page website requires careful planning of navigation and content organization. I also reinforced my rocketry knowledge while researching content for the articles. Learning to deploy a site with Netlify was a valuable new skill.
My results matter because there is almost no beginner-friendly rocketry content available for Spanish-speaking audiences. This website fills a real gap and could help grow the rocketry community in Paraguay and Latin America. It also shows how coding skills can be applied to share specialized knowledge.
I would redesign the site with a more modern visual style and add more in-depth articles on advanced topics. I could also include interactive simulations or motor selection calculators to make the learning experience even more engaging.
I used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript references from MDN Web Docs. Rocketry content was based on my personal experience and research from established rocketry communities. My Technology teacher (Profe C.) supported and guided the project. T. completed this project individually.
