This project was an representation of the Jesuit reductions of Paraguay, I do the parts of the central church, market and fair.
I chose this project because the central academic theme of the year was the organization of the Jesuit Reductions. I wanted to visualize how these historical settlements were structured and how their urban design reflected their social organization.
First we decided what main parts of the jesuit reductions i was going to recreated, the I make sketch on paper and finally create the idea on the program Sketchup.
Through this project, I discovered the impressive precision of Jesuit planning. I learned how the church acted as the physical and symbolic center of the reduction, and how the market and fair areas were essential for the economic and social integration of the community.
My results matter because they provide a visual and interactive way to understand Paraguayan history. Digital modeling helps preserve cultural heritage and makes it easier for students to explore historical sites that are now in ruins.
In the future, I would like to expand the model to include the living quarters of the Guaraní people and the surrounding agricultural fields. I would also like to use a rendering software like V-Ray to add realistic textures and lighting to the SketchUp model.
Teacher C help me, and also my parents.
