We worked on the question: How can we help people build healthier habits using an accessible website? We created "Tu Vida Fit," a web platform that offers healthy recipes, workout routines for all levels, and motivational content to encourage a balanced lifestyle.
We noticed that many people want to live healthier but feel overwhelmed by complicated fitness programs or extreme diets. We believe well-being is not a distant goal but the result of small daily habits. We wanted to build a friendly digital space that makes healthy living feel achievable and fun.
We built the website from scratch using HTML for structure, CSS for visual design, and JavaScript for interactivity. We used Visual Studio Code as our editor and received suggestions from an AI coding assistant. After testing and improving the design several times, we published the site online using Netlify.
We found that presenting health information in a visually appealing and well-organized way makes people more likely to engage with it. Our website successfully combines recipes, exercises, and tips in a way that feels motivating rather than overwhelming.
Our results show that even middle school students can create functional, meaningful digital tools that address real-world health challenges. The project demonstrates that technology can be used to promote well-being and inspire positive lifestyle changes in our comunity
We would like to add personalized meal plans based on user preferences and integrate a calorie tracker. We could also include workout video tutorials and create a community section where users share their progress and motivate each other.
We used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript documentation from MDN Web Docs and Khan Academy tutorials. Our Technology teacher guided us throughout the development process. AI coding tools in VS Code helped us improve our code. V. and Y. collaborated equally on design and development.
