We worked on how to represent the Guaraní sky in a creative and interactive way. Our project includes illuminated hexagonal panels with Guaraní constellations and interactive books with stories about the Guaraní sky. We wanted people to learn about Paraguayan culture while also exploring geometry, electricity, and design.
We chose this project because we wanted to value Guaraní culture and show its connection with the sky, stories, and ancestral knowledge. We also wanted to show that technology can be used to express culture in a meaningful way. Our goal was to combine art, mathematics, electricity, and Guaraní language in one creative installation.
First, we researched Guaraní constellations and their meanings. Then we designed hexagonal panels using geometry, symmetry, and measurements. Behind the panels, we built simple LED circuits to illuminate the constellations. We also created interactive books where some parts light up when the user opens or presses them.
We found out that simple circuits can make cultural stories more visual and engaging. We also learned that geometric shapes, like hexagons, can help organize a collective artwork in a clear and beautiful way. Through the process, we understood how electricity, design, and culture can work together.
Our project matters because it helps people learn about the Guaraní sky in a new and creative way. It also shows that Paraguayan culture can be represented through technology, art, and mathematics. We learned that technology does not have to replace tradition; it can help share and preserve it.
Next, we could improve the circuits to make them stronger and safer. We could also add more constellations, more Guaraní stories, or audio recordings in Guaraní and Spanish. In the future, this project could become an interactive exhibition for younger students or visitors.
We used information from our Guaraní, Mathematics, and Technology classes. We also used what we learned about constellations, geometry, simple circuits, and cultural storytelling. We thank our teachers for helping us during the process.
